The Bears got back in the win column with a victory, 17-6, over the 2-6 Oakland Raiders and had a very unlikely hero...Rex Grossman.
Sexy Rexy came into the game after Griese went down with a shoulder injury and played well, then provided the touchdown pass, a 59-yarder to Bernard Berrian, that put the Bears up for good.
The defense played like its old self only allowing 198 yards, getting four sacks (three by Adewale Ogunleye alone) and forcing three turnovers.

After their miraculous victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on the road a week ago, the Bears back it up with their worst showing of the season, a 16-7 home loss to division rival Detroit.
The Lions complete the sweep of the season series and send the Bears reeling into their much needed Bye Week.

The Bears traveled into Philadelphia and came out with a victory by the hair on their chiny chin chins!!
Brain Griese engineered a brilliant 97-yard touchdown drive with under two minutes left and NO TIME OUTS!! The Bear defense kept Brian Westbrook under control and didn't get killed by the big play like they did against the Vikings.
